The new Dike bed from the Maxalto collection features a headboard of incredible dimensions, which becomes a distinctive element that forms a new category of furnishings. Antonio Citterio uses two panels, 2 meters high and 125 centimeters wide, which are finished with movable elements that are fixed along the entire height with an elegant hinge. This headboard becomes an almost theatrical backdrop or an element of design, the sophistication of which is further emphasized by the choice of upholstery: for the Dike, a specially created material of pronounced three-dimensionality with a clearly visible weft thread is used, almost a tapestry, consisting of horizontal stripes with a play of light and gently merging into each other in different shades. The height of the bed is also significant and corresponds to a well-defined bedroom concept. The structure of the bed and headboard can also be covered with the textiles used in the collection.
