The B&B Italia 2019 collection has been expanded with Pablo, a new armchair designed by Vincent Van Duysen. It is characterized by comfort and determination, which together form effective aesthetic and structural solutions. The Pablo is made of a double layer of leather, which hides a small padding on the seat, which is slightly noticeable, but capable of providing comfort. Its attractive shape is defined by its deep depth and slightly sloping front: Pablo offers unique proportions calibrated to the millimeter, making this chair an innovative mix of a small chair and a chaise longue. The structure envelops the body, it is suspended, it floats, it seems to be floating, as it is simply dressed on the back and inserted into the armrests. The designer's meticulous attention to detail is backed by the B&B Italia Research Center, where they are well aware that minimalist products require a lot of work and special attention. The result is noticeable, above all, in the constant opposition of straight lines and roundness, in the relation between the lightness of wood and the strength of leather with a raw cut, and in the cut of the vertical elements of the structure, softened by a circular cross-section. This piece, like a suspension bridge or a flying carpet, delicately expresses a new visual perception of balance, elegant and comfortable in equal measure.Specifications
