Description
“There are no answers, just a choice.” This statement by Djibarian, taken in Stanislav Lem's Solaris, gave rise to the freestanding furniture project designed by Pietro Arosio. Solaris is a kitchen with spatially unusual features, designed as an evolution of form within the concept of those looking for open spaces, versatile, suitable for multiple functions. Solaris is a freestanding island in Corian® with a modern and streamlined shape, standing on steel legs, the contour of the sink with a spectacular shower faucet and an embossed ledge, also in Corian®, to protect the rest of the parts from splashing water. Next to the sink there is a glass-ceramic hob, located strictly on the same level, consisting of 4 cooking zones with different powers. The body under the countertop is entirely made of stainless steel. The front sides contain a lamp switch and power outlets for small electrical appliances. The pipes for supplying gas, water, drain and power cables are housed in a modular, flexible structure made of stainless steel. Soft, diffused light comes from a Corian®-finished lamp with an opal glass screen and mounted on a tubular steel rod. Under the Corian® worktop, there is a drawer unit on four swivel wheels with a drawer and a deep drawer. Solaris is available in the following versions: 2.70 m, 3.00 m, 3.30 m.Specifications
