MERIAN is an innovative side table made from nuanced silkscreen-printed glass with finishing touches on the glass in a colourway which makes it elegant and extremely versatile. The palette includes both nuanced shades and full colour and will beautify any setting with a mixture of verve and delicacy. The watercolour illustrations of Maria Sibylla Merian are the inspiration behind this project. A naturalist, explorer and artist, she carefully observed and drew insects which led her to discover the metamorphosis of the butterfly in the second half of the seventeenth century.
