Redondo, in the design, is inspired by the upholstered interiors of American cars of the 1950s and 1960s, the soft shapes of the bodywork, the on-the-road comfort that accompanied on long journeys between the East and West Coast. For the viewer, the point of view is that of a stage where small everyday stories happen.

Essentiality, definition, dynamism and transformation thus become the trait d’union that unites formally separate elements: seat, backrest, armrests are modules to be coordinated, combined, reconfigured indefinitely. The designer, in 2000, anticipates what today is taken for granted, designing in the future a system that becomes a single body, a project that goes beyond modularity as a function for maximum compositional freedom dedicated to comfort and elegance.

A narrative path that represents the natural continuation of the language expressed with the Lowland project. The central element of Highlands is movement, the possible verticality inherent in the characteristics of the armrests and backrests. Two possible positions, a sinuous movement, almost organic, never mechanical or performing. Plasticity that determines an inevitable modularity of the elements. A strong expression of the surfaces is the combination of the coverings, the cutting solutions, the sewing details of the covers, and the sartorial care with which they are made. A tribute to the spirit-couture of the textile attitude shared by both the designer and the company itself.

A functional sculpture, an enveloping and comfortable reading chair, resistant but at the same time light, suspended as if to defeat gravity. Paper Planes was born from the design of a fabric inspired by graph paper: a shape derived from folding and pointing paper exploring shapes and structures, producing angles, lines and polygons. The apparent simplicity, however, requires a masterful sartorial skill. During the basting phase, the lines of the decoration, given the geometric particularity of the seat, impose a perfect convergence, not leaving the master craftsman the slightest margin for error.

A new fabric for a new way of sitting. The new sitting philosophy will likely come closer to the concept of lying down. The seat height is lower than normal, and the open design of the piece of furniture allows greater freedom of movement. The spatial dimensions, the overlapping patterns and the use of color are central considerations in the design of the fabric. The first sketches and scale models by Scholten & Baijings consist of soft rectangular daybeds that lend themselves to various uses: sitting, leaning, lounging or relaxing, alone or in company. The use of fouton typical of Japanese homes served as an important source of inspiration.
In the second phase of the project, the idea of ​​using the ancient Ottoman Empire as an imaginary starting point was born. The footstool is also called Ottoman. Ottoman history provides splendid examples of decorative fabrics for interiors combined with low seating, aimed at encouraging social interaction between people. The images evoked are those of drinking tea, smoking a water pipe or the joy of a shared meal. In addition, there are several examples of brightly colored fabric designs with clear graphic patterns used in open and spacious interiors.
The furniture design is different from that of the fabrics. Ottoman design is characterized by rounder, softer and more organic shapes. This contrasts with the angular color compositions of the fabrics, creating a magnificent symbiosis. However, they both work effectively on their own as well.

The proportions are gentle, further lightened by the seat visibly raised from the ground.
A product balanced in its proportions that evokes its femininity from its name, a deliberate reference to Joséphine Baker, an emancipated character and icon of provocation in the 1930s, known for her African-American beauty, but also for her marked irony and her transformism.

Rift, a loanword which in geology means crack, is a seating system that crosses the spaces of contemporary domestic living. Unlike modular systems based on the rational use of geometry, Rift is built on an unpredictable and asymmetrical arrangement of volumes, a designed randomness inspired by the unpredictable effects of nature. Multi-level pitches stimulate an informal session, also for the staff in collective use: like tectonic plates, the different layers tend to collide and overlap in an original effect of movement, making rigid and formal places fluid without altering their identity.

The new Pacific collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso creates intimacy in the almost "protective" seat, for an enveloping idea of ​​comfortable relaxation. With its round and oversized shapes, it evokes the relaxed and relaxed atmosphere of the American West Coast, from which it takes its name.
Pacific is the continuation of the design process begun with the iconic Redondo collection designed by Patricia Urquiolan in 2010. "It is the evolution of a collection that has had and is very successful in recent years also for the innovative and luxurious use of surface finishes" , says Patrizia Moroso, Art Director of the company. "With Pacific, on the other hand, we worked more on the shape in the plan and on the current return of curved and generous lines".

My Beautiful Backside is a collection of seats in which the backrests are a colorful composition with cushions in various shapes. The use of symbols, such as buttons on the pillow shoulders, are the way to communicate a series of messages. These symbols also provide a means for the personalization of each seat, making it unique, just like in a piece of clothing. The upper mattress is covered with a composition of different objects inspired by a contemporary princess and embroidered in gold and silver.

The Modernista project is inspired by tailored men's suits: wonderfully sewn garments, with a refined taste for materials and details. Modernist strictly follows the geometric structure of the rectangle, within which it is possible to explore light shapes and exact proportions. The light padding is softened by the use of buttons that recall a delicate capitonné workmanship as well as creating a delicate and elegant decoration.

Blocks blunted by the cut of an imaginary blade. The geometric order is broken, overwhelmed in favor of a movement, of a margin that crosses the perimeters. The stylistic signature of the Heartbreaker sofas is in the design of the armrest, which represents half of a heart, or a broken heart, which is playfully reassembled in the combinations of sofas placed side by side. Hence the name, which playfully speaks of a broken heart or ironically alludes to a "heartbreaker".
The Heartbreaker sofa collection was designed as a contract system: the sofa project combines pure volumes and simple geometric shapes with extreme comfort, making the product, designed for intensive use, also suitable for domestic use.
A second element that strongly characterizes the product is the metal profile at the base, available in different finishes, which visually allows you to lift and lighten the important presence of the sofa above, giving it kindness and personality, as if to indicate the signature of the Danish designer for Moroso.

The Gogan collection owes its name to nature and in particular to the Japanese stones smoothed by time and water, which were a source of inspiration for this project.
This is the name of the Japanese stones placed on the banks of rivers and lakes to protect and embellish the banks. The shapes of the sofa, as well as those of the armchair, are reminiscent of soft stones sculpted by the wind and water, massive but at the same time soft, on which to rest.
As in the stone sculptures, where the stones are balanced by virtue of the joints and position, in the sofa and in the Gogan armchair the balance between the elements is given by the shape, not too regular: thanks to a play of gravity and balances, shapes that should be heavy can be light.
The seats are soft and irregular and the seat structure is slightly inclined towards the rear; this gives the pieces of the collection extreme comfort and allows to keep the backrest lower. Back and seat are joined by buttresses that give an idea of ​​lightness.
