Essentiality, definition, dynamism and transformation thus become the trait d’union that unites formally separate elements: seat, backrest, armrests are modules to be coordinated, combined, reconfigured indefinitely. The designer, in 2000, anticipates what today is taken for granted, designing in the future a system that becomes a single body, a project that goes beyond modularity as a function for maximum compositional freedom dedicated to comfort and elegance.

The Blue Edition of Sushi Collection for Moroso is inspired by the original Sushi series, a playful range of sophisticated seating for lounge areas. While the original line is characterized by an abundance of colors, the Blue Edition has a more majestic presence, with delicate geometric patterns on hues ranging from cerulean to royal blue to cobalt. In addition, the collection will also include variations in red, green and gray.
Sushi Collection is designed to offer a wide range of seating options for lounge areas: outdoor benches and ottomans, high-backed chairs for intimate conversations and face-to-face appointments. The surprising variety of shapes transforms spaces into landscapes wh ere harmonious colors and patterns form the glue between the various elements. Born from the desire to break free from the angular and cubic lines typical of modern sofas, Josephine is characterized by rounded and sinuous shapes that give life to the armrests and back, three distinct pieces that embrace the seat like the petals the corolla of a flower. The proportions are gentle, further lightened by the seat visibly raised from the ground.
A product balanced in its proportions that evokes its femininity from its name, a deliberate reference to Joséphine Baker, an emancipated character and icon of provocation in the 1930s, known for her African-American beauty, but also for her marked irony and her transformism.
Available in sofa or vis-à-vis variants designed for contract, but easily declinable also in a domestic version.

A narrative path that represents the natural continuation of the language expressed with the Lowland project. The central element of Highlands is movement, the possible verticality inherent in the characteristics of the armrests and backrests. Two possible positions, a sinuous movement, almost organic, never mechanical or performing. Plasticity that determines an inevitable modularity of the elements. A strong expression of the surfaces is the set of coatings, cutting solutions, sewing details of the covers, and the sartorial care with which they are made. A tribute to the spirit-couture of the textile attitude shared by both the designer and the company itself.

The stylistic signature of the Heartbreaker sofas is in the design of the armrest, which represents half of a heart, or a broken heart, which is playfully reassembled in the combinations of sofas placed side by side. Hence the name, which playfully speaks of a broken heart or ironically alludes to a "heartbreaker".
The Heartbreaker sofa collection was designed as a contract system: the sofa project combines pure volumes and simple geometric shapes with extreme comfort, making the product, designed for intensive use, also suitable for domestic use.
A second element that strongly characterizes the product is the metal profile at the base, available in different finishes, which visually allows you to lift and lighten the important presence of the sofa above, giving it kindness and personality, as if to indicate the signature of the Danish designer for Moroso.

The Gogan collection owes its name to nature and in particular to the Japanese stones smoothed by time and water, which were a source of inspiration for this project.
This is the name of the Japanese stones placed on the banks of rivers and lakes to protect and embellish the banks. The shapes of the sofa, as well as those of the armchair, are reminiscent of soft stones sculpted by the wind and water, massive but at the same time soft, on which to rest.
As in the stone sculptures, where the stones are balanced by virtue of the joints and position, in the sofa and in the Gogan armchair the balance between the elements is given by the shape, not too regular: thanks to a play of gravity and balances, shapes that should be heavy can be light.
The seats are soft and irregular and the seat structure is slightly inclined towards the rear; this gives the pieces of the collection extreme comfort and allows to keep the backrest lower. Back and seat are joined by buttresses that give an idea of ​​lightness.

A relaunch operation, inspired by a tension towards height. A courteous and careful reinterpretation, oriented towards lightness with the utmost respect for balance and proportion. Gentry Extra Light evolves from the reassuring solidity of the first Gentry indulging in the all-female game of the heel. In the momentum, she seduces and winks, never denying the strength of her personality. The change in height does not distort the posture, but alludes more frankly to the freedom to choose between discipline and indulgence, between conventional use and spontaneity. An all-round lightening, which from the structure reaches the Braid upholstery, deliberately reduced in the scale of the stitching (Baby braid). One of the most successful projects of the company, in a lighter and smaller version. The new Gentry Extra Light renews the idea of ​​an elegant sofa
and compact for use that extends from the home to common spaces.

A project born from the search for a rigorous and measured comfort, containing but with a hint of deformation. Gentry communicates tradition, distinction and belonging, in the rediscovered courage to contrast with subtle irony, the negative judgment of the term "bourgeoisie". The sofa first of all expresses a way of being, a sensitive attitude prone to restoring the balance between discipline and free gesture. The large independent back and seat cushions make conventional as well as casual positions comfortable: “good manners” re-evaluate behaviors that are sometimes disapproved of, it is nice to lie down, rest, read.

The Gemma collection has evolved around the idea of contrast and the experience that comes from the perception of a shape. The sharp asymmetry of its three-dimensional geometry contrasts with the softness of its padding. Its faceted profile evokes both a precious stone and the typical compositions of Italian tapestries of the fifteenth century. The collection is representative of the synergy between the complex geometries of Libeskind and the well-known know-how of Moroso.
Libeskind was deeply inspired by natural geological forms: crystals, gems, natural rock formations. For the Moroso collection, the design incorporates the asymmetrical facets of gems and has a dual meaning: to create a sculpture for the home or office and to connect with Libeskind's work.

A collection that, from Big Easy, a steel armchair created by Ron Arad in 1988, demonstrates how a volume, as a simple form, can be translated, without compromising its design principles, through a reinterpretation of materials and production processes. The model obtained from the constructive gesture thus becomes industrial production; the visual softness and the fullness of volumes, comfort. Big Easy explores rotational molding and the use of polyethylene; in the Soft version, cold foaming and, with the polyester fiber coating, the tactile transformation of the surface; in the elements of the collection, the morphology and dynamics of the form.

From the hand that alone draws on the paper during a phone call, traces of thought come out. Innocent reflections marked by an accumulative progression, spontaneous gestures, scribbles; one starts from a line, one arrives at an articulated and complex composition. It is the pretext for embroidery. The sofa project takes the shape of a folded blanket. The seat is delicate, absorbed, the armrests soft, the shape welcoming. The quilted upholstery follows the lines of the scribble, giving it three-dimensionality. It is a thought that welcomes us, a daydream.

An intuition derived fr om the language of carpentry is the distinctive feature of a new modular system for its formal construction and innovative for its compositional flexibility. If from a literal point of view the term chamfer indicates a bevel created with the 45 ° cut of a right angle, in the sofa it expresses a double expansion of perspective, aesthetic and functional. Externally, the bevel softens and acts as a guide, giving the overall dimensions a spatial and architectural value; internally, the angle encloses and supports, favoring a versatile seating style that is well suited to the home environment as well as to use in public spaces.
Through five modules, different in terms of extension and depth, and a single connection, it is possible to imagine a multiplicity of combinations, from the simple specular juxtaposition to the most complex geometric sequences. The sign is strong, recognizable in the references to the deconstruction carried out with Lowland (2000) and to the sophisticated design of Redondo (2010) or M.a.s.s.a.s (2012). The term "chamfer" refers to the architectural detail of the "rounded corner". Hence the plan shape of the sofa, which characterizes all the elements of the seating system. Versatile, flexible, sumptuous, these sofas welcome us in a big and elegant embrace.
The Chamfer sofa celebrates Moroso's twenty years of collaboration with Patricia Urquiola: "In discussing this anniversary with Patrizia, for the twenty years of collaboration, we decided to work on a simplification of a series of echoes deriving from projects made in the past , for example by linking us to Redondo and other sofas which for us represented a sort of 'cradle', a nest. We lowered, we geometrized, we brought to purer, cleaner lines and this corner came out, this broken edge as the English say, this Chamfer, a word that recurs in architecture wh ere, when we join two lines in a curve, we join them in chamfer. The Modernist collection - despite having roots and references in Modernism - stands out for its ambitious attempt to integrate the figurative component, typical of the works of Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, with the linear rationality of the geometric structure of the rectangle. The result, in terms of formal innovation, is an achievement. The two designers contrast the classicism of the composition, the proper attention to the rendering of surfaces and materials, the accentuation of a few significant details: the central button denies and at the same time reworks the bourgeois charm of the capitonné workmanship, while the base moderates the aesthetics of industrial processing, updated in the choice of colors and in the use of laser-cut steel, folded and welded into a single structure. With Casa modernista - a veiled homage to Gregori Warchavchik, a Russian-Ukrainian architect recognized for his role as promoter of modern architecture in Brazil in the 1920s - the formal precision and objective sobriety present in the first models softens towards a greater openness to relaxation and to spontaneity.
The cushions lose their rigor, the seat becomes deeper and more welcoming, the lines relaxed. The sofa, in the change, becomes the transition space between opposing interpretations of time: productive and disconnected, relational and private, temporary and continuous. Casa Modernista completes the basic Modernista project with two sofas modified in size and comfort. Thought for a more residential use, the sofas still maintain the distinctive qualities of the initial project.

There is no desire to break, no attempt to redefine aesthetic standards or models, but rather the will to rediscover the path of "timelessness" in the idea of simple, balanced and functional elegance. The attention then falls on the value of the coatings, on the quality of the finishes and details, on the small adjustments made to make the experience of beauty daily (and normal).

Confronting the "capitonné" interpreting it in an original way, revolutionizing the concept. Patricia Urquiola designs a family of products whose shape seems liquid, as if melting on the structure, creating soft, enveloping, almost casual lines, where the fabric or leather are fixed to the shell with press studs. The object seems to wear a shawl on the shoulders, a series of cushions of various types are superimposed on the seat: an almost obsessive, rich search for upholstery, overlapping of different leathers and materials, colors, fabric processing. A sort of luxury patchwork that, when worn, gives the object a nomadic and global spirit.

Comfort and softness first of all. An open source sofa, a design choice that favors the comfort aspect of the seat that is always more enveloping and soft in its visual and formal impact. The structure is embraced by knitted straps that slip between the soft cushions, encouraging pure relaxation. The pleated lining emphasizes the undefined light-heartedness of the shape, accentuated by the use of knitted fabric for the belts that contain it. This sofa blends the traditions of saddlery and upholstery in the form of a new interpretation of space and neoclassical furnishings, as well as their most common and common images.

Rigorism of soft lines, slightly rounded, austere design of forms, elevation on graceful fragile legs made of tubular metal - this is the main motive of the Add_look round collection. At the same time, the Add_look collection has been replenished with new fundamental details. A wide range of semicircular stackable elements in a concentric movement create a festive mood. This is the perfect amphitheater for spending time at home.
The elements that decorate and make this collection more significant can be both convex and concave. All objects can be easily combined with each other, getting the most diverse, both simple and complex shapes, and, of course, combined with the base standard line of the add_look series, thus providing the opportunity to create the most fantastic and unusual compositions.

This new Twibe upholstery collection is characterized by extreme importance and at the same time sartorial details that make it a unique project. The strong point is represented by the tubular steel frame, which emphasizes the volumetric clean lines of the sofa in two places: in the basement frame, following the profile and wrapping all the cushions; and in the armrests where it surrounds the belt. This bearing and decorative use of this tubular steel matches another Twibe detail: the fineness of sewing with increased thickness that follows the line of soft elements, giving the sofa design more character and depth. The solution is realized thanks to the craftsmanship and handicraft that distinguish the company.
