During the development of this project, David Chipperfield focused on creating versatile and reliable upholstered furniture that would meet stringent operational requirements and at the same time convey a sense of refined luxury. The furniture was intended for installation in a museum and is covered with leather. This line of research was combined with other topics that Chipperfield enjoyed studying; namely, how, using advanced industrial technology, to make a comfortable soft seat from thinly padded sections mounted on a lightweight and dynamic base.Specifications
